The Gift that is Notes Written by Another

Think of the birthday cards you’ve received. Which ones stand out in memory, having really touched you? The ones where the Hallmark writer really nailed it with a witty zinger on the inside, below which was hastily scribbled “Love, So-and-so”?

No.

It’s the ones where so-and-so obviously took a minute to write you a meaningful missive (located below or opposite that witty zinger). One which created, in some way, who you are for that person. When others write to us, about us, and in a caring way? That is what gets our attention, lingers in memory.

Coaching calls are also meaningful, memorable milestones. (Think they aren’t? They certainly deserve to be.) They too merit being marked, commemorated, not forgotten.

Session Notes are a gift. Don’t squander the opportunity to give that gift to AI or by telling them they can write their own. Let them experience whatever it is that YOU would say and like them to remember about that meaningful conversation.

On the receiving end, what us clients experience is “This is what my coach wished to share with me then. This is what they thought was important out of a conversation in which he was standing for me to be my best self.”

Who doesn’t want to read that?

The honor and love that gesture shows is itself worth the price of admission. And that’s before the real magic: when the substance of those notes is carried forth and carried out.

With Session Notes as a first-class feature, CoachAccountable makes it very easy to write up this gift and share it with your clients.

Doing so routinely leads to an accumulating treasure trove of insights, one that is easy for your clients to revisit whenever.

Moreover, when you’re done working together, you can generate the collection of all of those Session Notes. This is a lovely parting gift that you can give them.
